Grilled Buffalo Wings with Kingsford Charcoal

Grilled Buffalo Wings
Serves 4-6

Kingsford is the perfect backyard budding this summer while you grill and chill. Wings are everyone’s game day favorite but I actually prefer them in the summer with a bit of smokiness from the grill. You can also use this recipe for grilled chicken breast of thighs, the sky is the limit!

2 lb. chicken wings, drumsticks, wings or a combo
2 12-ounce beers, of your choice
1/2 cup of hot sauce, I used Frank’s
1/2 cup Dijon mustard, or any type of mustard
2 teaspoons of salt
1 lemon, juiced and halved

To finish:

1/2 cup hot sauce, I used Frank’s
1 stick butter, melted
1 bunch cilantro, chopped

Add wings to a large bowl. Add beer, mustard, salt and lemon and allow the wings to marinade for at least an hour and up to 1 day.

Prepare charcoal grill using Kingsford Charcoal, creating two zones, a hot zone in the center of the grill and an in-direct cooking zone along the perimeter of your grill.

Remove wings from marinade and add to the grill, cook for 5-7 minutes, flip those in the center that are cooking faster and cover, cooking for about another 5 minutes.

Flip and move those fully cooked to the perimeter of the grill to stay warm and continue cooking on low heat and move those that are not fully browned to the hotter center. Repeat until all wings are equally grilled and cooked through, about 20 minutes total.

Remove from heat and toss with buffalo sauce and sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
